My Uncle Michael was a very special msn. He was always interested in all of us nieces and nephews in law ( all 9 of us) and would always spend time talking to each of us and seeing how we were. I never saw him angry and he always was so kind but also had a bit of a sense of humour. I remember when my family moved North and he taught us that well known Geordie phrase “put wood in hole” something I have never heard a Geordie say. He liked a gentle tease and took delight in telling us we all had Geordie accents when we next met him having moved. His family especially his wife Gillian you could tell were his world and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He is the first of my uncles or aunts to pass away on this side of the family and his noticeable absence will be greatly felt. Religion was a massive part of his life and so I believe he would view this as a beginning not an end. Lots of love to you Uncle Michael . Thoughts obviously go out to those left behind especially in these strange times when we are not able to offer the support we want to at his funeral.
